Send your loved ones across the world with someone by their side. A human companion, an AI guide that speaks their language, or both.

Matching is free forever. AI Companion is $14.99 a trip, fully refundable.1

Why this exists

You booked the ticket weeks ago. You’ve been running the same four scenarios in your head ever since.

“She has to change terminals in Doha at 2am, alone, in a place she’s never been.”

The layover is the whole point. The AI Companion knows her connection, her gate and the transfer route. It starts guiding the moment the first aircraft doors open, not when she thinks to ask.

“He won’t ask anyone for help. He never wants to be a bother, and he’s not sure his English will hold up.”

He never has to ask. Every instruction arrives in his own language, read aloud if he’d rather listen, before the moment he’d need to work it out himself.

“The flight is delayed and I’m eight time zones away with no way to reach her.”

You stop refreshing the flight tracker. Boarded, in the air, landed, through immigration. Each milestone reaches your phone as it happens, whether or not she can get to hers.

“I asked for wheelchair assistance. I have no idea whether anyone will actually be there.”

A fair worry. Airport assistance is free and often excellent, but it is stretched. This doesn’t replace it. It means she isn’t standing there with no idea what’s happening while she waits.

Everyone gets the same feed.

Add your brother in Toronto and your aunt in Melbourne. They see exactly what you see, at the same moment, so nobody has to be the one relaying news at 3am.

And because any family member with access can buy the Trip Pass, it doesn’t have to be you who pays.

Full refund if the trip is cancelled before departure.

Setting it up

Almost all of this happens on your phone, not hers. She has one small thing to do, and you can do it with her on a call.

You do this

Upload her ticket.

Forward the airline confirmation or drop in a screenshot. We read the flight number, terminal and timings automatically. She never sees a form.

About 60 seconds
You do this

Buy the Trip Pass.

$14.99, your card, from wherever you are in the world. She is never asked to pay for anything, and never asked for card details.

About 30 seconds
She does this

Signs in once.

One app download, then a one-time code we text her. No password to invent, none to forget. Walk her through it on a call and it's done for good.

A few minutes, once

Yes, the app does have to be on her phone. We’d rather tell you that now than have you find out the night before she flies.

The gap

Airlines the world over built a careful, supervised service for children flying alone. For a parent of eighty making the same journey, there is nothing on the shelf at all.

If she were fourteen

$150

Each way. Airlines from Delta to British Airways to Air India sell a supervised escort for unaccompanied children: gate handover, staff with them throughout, released only to a named adult.2

She is eighty

Nothing

No airline sells an escort for an adult passenger, anywhere, at any price. Every programme stops at seventeen. There is no product to buy.3

₹30 lakh

The fine India’s aviation regulator issued to an airline in 2024, after an 80-year-old flying home from New York asked for a wheelchair on arrival, was told to wait, walked, and collapsed. He died at the airport.5

30 minutes

Even in the US, where the rule is strict, the regulator had to forbid airlines from leaving someone who asked for help alone in a wheelchair for longer than half an hour. That is the standard, not the failure.4

A fee

As of 2025, India’s regulator lets airlines charge a healthy older passenger for a wheelchair. It stays free for anyone with a diagnosed need. But at the counter, “healthy” is a judgement call.6

Airport assistance is free where the law requires it, and staffed by people who genuinely care.7 It is also stretched, wildly inconsistent between countries, and never built for someone who is simply old, alone, and far from home. The AI Companion doesn’t replace any of it. It fills the silence around it, so she always knows what happens next, and you always know where she is.

One trip, one payment. Cancel before departure and you get all of it back.

Listing trips, matching, and messaging are free, forever. The AI Companion Trip Pass is $14.99 per trip and adds live step-by-step guidance, real-time alerts, and family tracking. Human companion bookings are priced by the companion, most between $25 and $75 per trip.
AI Companion is a $14.99 per-trip add-on that provides live, step-by-step guidance at every checkpoint (security, boarding, transit, and arrival), with real-time updates sent to your family in 100+ languages. It works with or without a human travel companion and is available on the Pricing page.
Your profile and travel details are only shared with a specific companion after you both mutually confirm a match. Nothing is shared before that point. We never share your phone number. If you and your match choose to exchange contact details, you can do so through in-app messaging. We never sell your data or share it with advertisers. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Yes. The platform allows you to find a match even if you have not yet booked your flight tickets. We need the origin and destination city names with a probable date of travel within a maximum range of 30 days.
You can add multiple stops between origin and destination. Click on "Add Stop" button on the Flight/Travel Information screen to add stops.
Submit your travel plan 30 or more days before your departure date for the best chance of matching. We'll notify you within seconds when someone's itinerary matches yours.
Yes. You can connect with as many matches as you see. There is no restriction on how many connections you have for a travel.
MatchMyFlight has platform-level protections in place: paid companions go through an identity and onboarding approval process before they can be booked, contact details are only shared after both parties mutually confirm a match, and all early communication happens through our in-platform messaging. Beyond that, it is always good to chat through the app before your trip. For international travel, meeting briefly in a public setting beforehand adds extra confidence. If that is not possible, the airport is a secure environment for a first in-person meeting. Do not exchange personal belongings before you board.
It is always good to let the other person know your plans so that they can plan accordingly and make new connections for their travel.
To handle this situation the best approach would be to delete the incorrect travel plan and create a similar travel plan with the correct dates.
Our Paid Companion service allows you to hire a companion to assist you with navigation and airport procedures. Companions can offer support to make your travel experience smoother and stress-free.
You can select the Paid Companion service on our website, choose a companion based on your preferences, and complete the booking with prepayment.
Companions assist with navigation and general guidance at airports, ensuring a smooth travel experience. They can also provide Language Support, Tech Assistance, and Medicine Reminders, covering all the details so your traveller feels looked after every step of the way.
You may select companions based on availability and preferences during the booking process.
Our service covers both arrival and departure assistance, including support for transit passengers when possible.
Our companions are there to assist with pre-agreed tasks, but additional requests may be taken depending upon companion bandwidth and will.
If you cancel, you get a full refund: no deductions, no fees, no timing conditions. We never charge travellers a cancellation penalty. See our Cancellation and Refund Policy for full details.

Every major airline caps the service at age 17.
  3. 3.Based on the published special-assistance and optional-service-fee schedules of major carriers worldwide as of 2026: none offers a paid escort product for an adult passenger, and unaccompanied-minor programmes end at age 17. Some airports have third-party meet-and-assist vendors that serve adults for a fee, with no consistent standard between them.
  4. 4.14 CFR § 382.103: a carrier must not leave a passenger who has requested assistance unattended in a ground or boarding wheelchair, in which the passenger is not independently mobile, for more than 30 minutes. 5. 5.Directorate General of Civil Aviation (India) penalty of ₹30 lakh (about US$36,000) on Air India, February 2024, after an 80-year-old passenger arriving on a New York to Mumbai flight was not provided a requested wheelchair, walked to the terminal, collapsed and died. Reported by Business Standard, Deccan Herald and others.
  6. 6.DGCA (India) draft rules issued August 2025 permit airlines to charge a fee for wheelchair assistance requested by able-bodied passengers, including seniors in good health, while keeping assistance free for passengers with a disability, reduced mobility or a genuine medical need.
  7. 7.Assistance for passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility is provided without additional charge under 14 CFR § 382.31 (United States), Regulation (EC) 1107/2006 (EU and UK) and equivalent rules elsewhere.
